WOOD BURNING STOVE CONCEPT

FOR ENVIROFIT – DESIGNED BY ROBRADY DESIGN

ENERGY TO BURN

Envirofit came to Robrady design with a technology that allows a wood burning stove to convert the waste energy from cooking food into electrical energy that can be used to power mobile devices. But they needed a housing that would communicate the cutting edge technology within while still looking like it can live outdoors. So three large cast aluminum feet were added to give the design more stability on uneven surfaces and the mass of the upper grate was increased significantly to handle heavy pots. Also, they needed a way to keep larger pieces of wood stable inside the stove, so a sliding rack system was integrated, similar to those found in a typical kitchen oven. The rear foot perfectly houses all of the electronics, allowing for more cavity space, and it also features a retractable charging cord, letting users to keep their devices farther away from the stove. Finally a slide out ash tray was added to make cleanup a cinch.
